The Sony KF-60DX100 is a rear projection television that uses the LCD technology and has a screen size of 60 inches when measured diagonally. As far as price and quality are concerned the CRT’s give the best performance. However, a typical rear projection television, which uses the CRT technology, will weigh more than 250 pounds and take up a lot of space. This made it quite necessary to search for different technologies, which gave rise to the DLP, LCD, D-ILA and a few other technologies. Even though most of the technologies have not been able to match the black levels and contrast ratios offered by a CRT television, they have made plenty of progress as far as the picture quality is concerned.

The Sony KF-60DX100 offers an aspect ratio of 16:9 and has a design, which at first glance looks very much like the plasmas. However the set is too deep to be hung on, the wall has to be used as a tabletop. Overall, the set is very wide and short. It weighs around 145 pounds, which is quite hefty for a 60 inch set. This can make the installation and moving a pretty difficult. Even the speakers are fitted to the cabinet at sides of the screen, which makes the set even wider. The native display resolution offered by the Sony KF-60DX100 is 1366 by 768, which is slightly more than 720p. is among the nation’s largest plasma and LCD TVs replacement parts providers.
