The HD-52Z585 is a 52” widescreen high definition TV set from JVC. The rear projection set uses the high acclaimed LCOS technology or the D-ILA technology as JVC like to call it. The D- ILA technology uses a three chip system. The HD-52Z585 has an extremely thin profile as it weighs around 84 pounds and is just over 16 inches (16.25 inches to be precise). The set has a native resolution of 1280 X 720 at 720p and 1080i with a widescreen aspect ratio of 16:9 which is useful for viewing widescreen videos and movies.
The D-ILA technology can be said to be an upgraded version of the LCOS technology. It is basically a intermediate technology of the DLP and the LCD. The use of D-ILA technology eliminates the hazards of convergence issues or image burn in etc. The set offers high resolution images with highly rich and deep colors.
