The JVC HD61G887 is a 61” high definition rear projection TV set using JVC’s D-ILA technology. The JVC D-ILA technology is a superior technology to the LCOS and can also be described as an intermediate technology of the LCD and the DLP. The use of D-ILA technology increases device productivity and stability making them last longer. It also eliminates the hazards of the screen door effect or image burn in. The set weighs a total of 103 pounds and is 25” in depth. 

The colors reproduced by the set are very accurate and natural. The contrast ratios provided by the set are very superior in comparison to other sets. The brightness of the set and the black levels too are quite superior. The 3:2 pulldown conversion is used for smoother running videos and movies from any input sources. A three line digital comb filter is also provided which clears any kind of visual interferences.

 
The D-ILA technology uses a three chip system which is used for the accurate reproductions of red, green and blue colors. The native resolution of the set is 1280 X 720 at an aspect ratio of 16:9 which is essential for viewing widescreen input signals. The set is equipped with two internal speakers which deliver a total output of 20 watts alongwith surround sound capabilities.
